This Magazine SHADES OF ANGER is about FLINTAs who are angry, like we are! We aren’t hysterical, out of control or too wild. Our anger is political and calls out racism, sexism and discrimination in all forms and intersections. Being angry has the potential to change the status quo in our society. We collected texts written by Audre Lorde and bell hooks, songs and books with angry content, scientific essays about the word hysterical and where it comes from. Because this topic is so diverse and personal and we are only able to display a small collection, we invite everyone to leave their hints in our collective Google Document, which is still online.

Ich fühle mich oft wie in einem Film. Dem Falschen allerdings. Ich bin nur passiver Beobachter der absurden Szenerie während einer globalen Pandemie. Fühle mich hilflos. Wie kann ich noch mehr lockdown machen als eh schon ist? Inzwischen habe ich alle Jahreszeiten von innen beobachtet. Wie viele Wolken und Sonnenaufgänge sind vor meinem Fenster vorbeigezogen? Wie viele Sorgen haben sich in meinem Kopf herumgetrieben, sind von meinen vier Wänden abgeprallt und direkt wieder die Gedankenspirale hinab gestrudelt? Die Welt dreht sich trotz allem weiter. Irgendwie langsamer aber gleichzeitig auch schneller. „War das letztes Jahr?“. „Nee, das kann gar nicht sein, ist wohl doch schon zwei Jahre her… krass“. Haare wachsen, wie meine Angst meine Jugend im Kinderzimmer zu verbringen. Am liebsten Zurück in die Zukunft mit DeLorean und Vakzinfläschchen.
